EDIT:  In case you didn't read the previous post.  WE ARE LEAVING.  There's is a possibility we might come back, but it is not likely.  This means no posting at all and no more icons.  The reason for this is because of the direct linking and the fact that we don't have that much time.  Sorry!

We have decided to shut down Icon Avenue... at least for now.  We may or may not come back.

Okay, this is obviously not going to settle out right away, but in order to make things work faster I want to you to listen to this.

In case any of you don't know what direct linking is I'll explain it to you.  It is when you copy and paste -or- just use the same link to display our pictures.  Since we use a free image host, photobucket.com, we have limited bandwidth.  We shouldn't have problems with this unless people direct link.  People can use our icons by simply saving it to their computer, going to a free image hoster such as photobucket.com, and use that.  Any questions?  Ask.

If you find out that you have direct linked one of our icons please take it off.  We will not be mad at you if you understand what you did wrong and delete it off your site and host it yourself.  We appreciate all honesty, so if you comment on this post and tell us you direct linked and you are sorry and that you will take it off we will thank you and forget about it.  However if people refuse we will do something else to prevent direct linking, which I will tell you at the end of this post.  Also, if you find someone direct linking please tell us, and we will reward you with your own custom layout.

If the bandwidth problems continue we will make this a private xanga and only will allow a few of you to view our icons.  Either that or we will close forever.  If you dont want that to happen, please help.

We will be checking all our subscribers for direct linked icons.  We will also make a list of all those who have direct linked and will erase you only when you have decided to remove those direct linked images.
If all goes well the icons should be up within two days.
